Property: yellow grain crystal. It can be weathered. It is dehydrated in 50℃, become anhydride in 81.5℃ and decomposed in 435℃. It will become acicular crystal when meets with lemon yellow monoclinic crystal. Relative Density: 1.458. It is soluble in water and insoluble in alcohol. It is easy to be weathered in the air. Under the temperature of 50~60℃, the crystal loses crystal water quickly. If it is dried in higher temperature, it will become hard lump anhydrous salt. It doesn’t decompose in unheated diluted acid. It will be decomposed into freehydrocyanic acid in boiled concentrated acid. Mixed with silver nitrate, it will generate milky silver ferrocyanide precipitate. Mixed with ferrous sulfate, it will generate white iron ferrocyanide precipitate, which will be oxidized and produce Prussian blue ferric ferrocyanide. Mixed with oxidant, it will be oxidized into sodium ferricyanide. If it is burned strongly, it will be decomposed completely and generate nitrogen, sodium cyanide and iron carbide. The main composition of this product is sodium ferrocyanide.
